Live Chat Software

with Liveperson they dont give any prices on their site, you request a callback and they will contact you and discuss your needs etc. and give a price this way.

It would be better they provide few plan details on the site and advice the users to contact them for any customized features or options.

I always hate the call back situation. I want them to give at least some kind of rough estimate what the cost is for different size companies, clients, etc. Just frustrating I have to get a sales call just to get a price.

I agree with this. Though they really do have a premium software and do deal with some huge companies so for them this obviously works best.

thats why if i come across for any service/software that does not give any price and needs to call you to give a price i just wont continue and i will just look elsewhere

but like most service businesses, larger companies will either pay large lump sums annually or longer or even take months to pay invoices, so it is the little businesses that are normally the bread and butter that keeps the business ticking over.

When choosing a livechat providor or script, try going for the ones that have their own way of routing the chats without the use of XMPP, there are chances of losing messages with this method if it's being used on two devices simultaneously. You can try LiveChatInc

We recently switched from livezilla to Livehelp (the WHMCS module), and honestly I regret it. There is much less functionality with Livehelp, and we have found that it occasionally drops chat requests for no reason.

Which functionality was missing that you had used? (Me & my partner are working on a hosted live chat software so this would be very interesting for me).

We have been bouncing from one live chat app to another because we can't settle on one that has all the features and functions the way we want it to. We used WHMCS Live Chat addon for a while, but recently changed to LiveZilla. Still not 100% on liking it.

Livezilla has a good chat function, the notifications, and desktop app. But the ticket functions are clunky, not very apparent, and we wish there was a way for clients to login and access old tickets.

Another odd thing about livezilla, their forums doesn't allow me to register! I'm using our domain email address, a different domain email address, gmail, hotmail, none of them work. It says that email address is not allowed at this community...?
