We have been using stardev for quit a long time now. They have both desktop and online application. The desktop application is much better than online.

...but you can't customize it at all...! That's why we quit using it. PHPLive and Livezilla are much better products.

Which customization options were you specifically after but found to be missing in that product?

LiveZilla is a good Live chat software it has the free version also you can try the free service and if you like it you can switch to premium version

Kayako is also a top Live chat and help desk software providing some good services to the customers

From experience I can recommand Kayako. It's reliable and you can basically do with it everything you need. The downsize is that in not that cheap. Cheers

Another vote for LiveHelp from StarDevelop. There's an iPhone app too (which I haven't used), but their desktop app with live visitor tracking is great for our business!

Unfortunately the Mac software doesn't chime when visitors visit our site though :-( That's only for PC version. Their support is very good I admit.

We prefer Zopim - it has been easy to configure and integrate. I would like to try Live Chat Inc at some point as well.

The new version of Zopim is indeed very good. We have seen clients shifting from enterprise solutions like Liveperson to Zopim recently. So it is indeed getting quite professional now.

We have been testing out Zopim. Seems like a decent product so far. The goal is to bring live sales chat to the front end site within a few months after we do some more testing of different products.

WHMCS livechat addon is really good, but they also need to make it "look" right. And add more features to it, but noting better then the billing system livechat will be a good feature if they expand it.

Purechat - The HTML code they provide can be added easily to both your sites code as well as WHMCS template.
