difference between free and paid hosting?

Paid Hosting is always better than free hosting because you claim your services for what are you paying for. In free hosting no customer support means nothing in your hand.

Aright well to go with the first question, the main difference between free hosting and paid hosting is up-time and options with your website. If you plan on having a long term site that is going to provide value to users, paid hosting is a must. It is relatively easy to make the money back and much more depending on how your monetizing.

To compare those two companies, I would say justhost is pretty good and offers exactly what they tell you. I don't have first hand experience with them or there back end setup, but you probably just want unlimited pages, email and an easy-to-use website builder, which they seem to have.

As for the free one, I would recommend never using a free host for your main income generating website. Its bad all around with customer service, space, and service.

There are many differences between Paid and Free hosting environments. A lot of your free hosting environments include ads, banners, pop-ups and other advertisement methods your unable to control. Your also very limited by what features you've available to you. Free hosting environments can at times be beneficial to those only wanting a very simple website, no frills, more or less a personal one-page website.While Paid hosting environment can offer you a variety of services, limited on by that the provider has chosen to limit. In some cases, like Foxyhare Service, we provide our clients with all the necessary features needed in building and maintaining a very professional atmosphere and website.

Paid hosting is usually the way to go if you do not require many services and want to save a lot money, although some of them do offer reliable services. These select few companies are rather difficult to find sadly. If you wish to have fully reliable services 24/7, I would suggest paid hosting.

Too much has already been said, Only thing I would add, the difference is mostly within the level of responsibility before the clients, who pay for the service and who don't.

In free web hosting you will get less disk space, sub domain name instead of your own domain, low bandwidth, low quality customer support.
but in paid you will get everything as you wish.

I think you better to use paid service,

as free hosting most company will provide you limited support.

If you are serious enough on the future of your website, I advice you to get a paid web host. Start small and upgrade if needed. Paid host may "kidnap" your files if you get bigger and charge you with a hefty sum before you can get them.

I would always go for paid hosting. The free hosting usually requires you to post or have ad's or such displayed on your site.

they are often (but not always) limited as well in their features

Free hosting always have limitation which are not acceptable for normal hosting demands, I'd definitely use paid

I've tried free hosting services and have not been impressed. Between them imposing ads on your site and the limited service and support. Well you know what they say you get what you pay for. Thats true with free hosting.

For Paid hosting this is more reliable and also you have a product/service support. They wouldn't delete your files or do something that would put your business/website in jeopardy.

For free hosting, mostly you cannot contact support if it goes down as it's free, use at your own risk... And this can also be in beta stage or production.

If you're doing serious business and have very important files... go for the paid one.

But if you're in the phase of learning / testing or just checking what web hosting is, you can try/test the free ones...

Thanks!

Paid hosting will give you less headaches and more support. If you are publishing a site of any worth pay a bit for your hosting. You have so much more control and you can also learn a few things in the process of controlling your own site.

Difference between paid and free hosting is such huge that we should not compare them because difference is every where, in future, independence, reliability and support for issues.

Technical support is the most important and fruitful feature of shared hosting in which you get support from their expert's for each of yours issue and let me tell you that issue is a common thing that any one can face.

Free = Good luck
Paid = You're in luck

Pretty much the simplest way to explain the differences.. You get what you paid for. ;)

Not even close.
I've seen tons of free hosts out there that are far more stable than many many paid hosts.
