How many hours a day do you work?

On average I'll be working somewhere around 5-10 hours per day, but that number will be sure to increase when my company gets more customers.

I put in around 80+ hours as we a growing small company but growing fast. The more staff I get the less hours I seem to work :)

I work 40 hours a week at my full time job, as well as 7 hours on the weekends somewhere else.
I can tell you, now that I have to work with my mind, that is definitely enough :P I come home pretty exhausted every day but it's a satisfying tiredness.

ALL of you work 24x7?... :shaky:

every host works 24x7x365 days unless you take all sites down during specific times of the day or week as you dont work these hours.

support has 2 methods

live (online) support (when a live person is at the end of the phone/live chat etc.)

offline support (when clients rely on your FAQ/KB and support tickets as staff are offline)

I know what you're saying.
I thought he meant he himself works 24/7.

If he does work 24/7/365 then he must be on something.

the max. i have worked without sleep is 48 hours. as a 1 man operation i am now working 9am to 11pm mon to fri, weekends i work if i get any request, but weekdays if a client askes for support at 10.59 PM i will say and work until the support request is sorted or the best i can do without contacting upstream techs.

To be in Hosting business itself means to sacrifice your sleep to the maximum extent. Being 24/7/365 is the 1st requisite here. I hope many agree to me ??

I hope you do have techs and a support team to get that 24/7/365 claim valid. No way you can do it all by yourself.

I work 20 hours a day managing my own business. I am determined to make my business successful. They say we have to enjoy life, well we have different ways of enjoying life and working on my business is my way of enjoying mine. :)

I work till I get tired :)

:agree: same with me, I work till I drop. But you know what, we should really get enough sleep especially at night. It is our body's time to repair and regenerate damaged tissues. But if we cannot avoid it since sometimes certain situation arises that we have to work in many hours , I recommend to eat well to compensate a bit.

Stay Healthy and Live Well. :D

I am a manager at a Telco company, I also run two other business and run my web hosting business so the hours could be 24/7 for me.

I am very customer service driven and not sales driven so I would want to see customers get 150% service then nothing.

Officially, my hours are 0800-2100 (Mon-Fri), but I'm on call 24/7/365 though. And, my clients have no issues with calling me at stupid o'clock on a daily basis for on-site support. With that said, it's fine with me as it means a 24/7 After-Hours surcharge. Also, I tend to do a lot of my software development later in the evening. All things considered, I'm probably working, on average, around 140 hours a week; but, it pays rather well though.
