Some have flaws, doesn't mean all of those people are bad. There are people involved who I made good friends with, so talking about them as one sets an inaccurate stereotype.

I guess that's the sad part, and what makes me still visit hell like every other day. Sigh ...

Aussie Bob, it is always possible to change the title, as long as it reflects the content of the initial post. What would be a more accurate name for it so we can discuss it?

I'd say "Complaint about WHT moderators" would best accurately reflect Michael's original post.

As most of you know, I've had my fair share of run ins with the WHT leaders, be that in private or on the WHT forum. I'd be the last person that would be considered an apologist for them.

I'm opinionated and sometimes that doesn't go down too well. I've been given unjustified warning points, had my WHT account unfairly suspended, and I disagree with their at times totalitarian method of moderating, but with all that being said (and most of it is water under the bridge) they do not support Child molestors, nor are they supporting Gen-T. Although I am lost as to why they haven't reposted Gen-T's apology thread.

IHSL is Simon, who previously owned DIYHosting.com, and currently owns Erica.com. IHSL is not Gen-T.

And you can tell how proud Vito is of his precious daughter. I've read multiple times on WHT about Vito's daughter, and family. Feel like I already know them.

On topic: Vito, you know my thoughts on this whole situation, I did my bit on WHT before it so rudely got thrown, so there is no need to do it all again here.

Off topic: I had the pleasure of listening to Amanda play the piano back in August. Even I, somebody with no piano experience, and who, to be honest hasn't had much to do with music at all, knew how beautiful her playing was. Heck, Amanda even astounded our calm, collected Paul Hirsch, it took a decent amount of persuasion to get him to play.

It probably comes down to their policy regarding suspending member accounts. They won't divulge the reason and they probably removed the thread because of this. You said it yourself about how they like to brush everything under the rug. They don't like criticism/negativity against anything to do with the forum and they'll either close or delete your thread to keep it hidden quite often. The simple fact is, this would make WHT look bad.

I think, perhaps, that they should really look into who they allow on as Guides and Mods over there. I know I'm not the only who gets snubbed every time and there are some great people over there who would make a wonderful Guide. I'm sorry, but when you send harrasing emails/PM and remain in a position of power for things long, there's a problem.

It just might be that these people weren't interested in being a guide? They don't force anyone to be one, but instead ask if anyone's interested. No idea why you weren't chosen.
As for them looking into who they choose, this person was not openly doing this the entire time he was a Guide there. It was a rather sudden departure from normalcy, from what I saw.

I think you're confusing something here. Gen-T was a Guide, but no longer is. His entire account is now disabled, AFAIK.

Congratulation on the smart decision, Vito, and we all hope for its positive outcome (for your family and all those affected in a similar way by the individual).

Everyone got a chance to voice their view on the case. Seeing how the matter is now in the hands of the legal system, there is no more use in discussing the issue, so I am closing this thread.
