What Do You Use? FTP or File Manager?

It really depends on what I'm doing. If I'm transferring files I'll usually use filezilla, unless I only need to upload 1-2 images, etc.

I always use FTP, default server file managers are very slow and unintuitive. I use Dreamweaver's built in FTP because I do sites in Dreamweaver so it's much easier. But sometimes I also use FileZilla and Total Commander.

I use whatever works at the time.

File Manger, WinSCP, FileZilla, FireFTP. Depends on what I'm doing and where I'm at. Although I never use cPanel's file manager to edit files, that just does not do what I want it to do.

I personally prefer File Manager, but there are situations when I need to upload large files I prefer to use FTP.

I personally don't like File Manager because it takes to long to upload several files all at once, I prefer FileZilla to speed things up.

Im glad to say this, In the past 3 months All I really have been doing is uploading and managing files for my website threw FTP and editing them in File Manage its good do upload threw a FTP because its faster and more.

FTP is the quickest and easiest way to quickly transfer images and other files to your account. File manager is a tool in your control panel, Through a web-based File Manager interface each user is enabled to carry out a wide range of file manipulation operations – to create, edit, rename, move, copy, delete, print files. Personally I prefer FTP because if you want to upload several files FTP works faster and much better than File Manager.

For fixing clients sites I use file manager since its easier to get in and out faster. For personal sites and such I use ftp as it makes transfering files faster and easier.

Hi,
The different between the two is that

FTP refers to a means of transferring files between computers, or the act of transferring files this way.

Your File Manager is a tool available in your Control Panel that allows you to see, review, organize, and delete your files.

From the File Manager you can also create new files, edit existing files, and access your Password Manager and other tools.

So i use FILE MANAGER as its better. filezila rocks !

FTP would be much comfortable to use as to my experience, the tools are much easier to use on and I'd say it is more appropriate for transferring files.
