Nobody reads terms and conditions: it's official

Although most of the people do like to read TOS, but it is important to read before signing up with any company because say anything about their scheme after signing up they will say please read TOS.

I have heard of companies doing this before and in some cases they put in the terms and conditions that if the customer quits services within 100 years they still owe for the remander of those years.

I do not read them but being that they are legally binding a company could enforce it. Wow thanks for that post it made me laugh.

Some contract provisions are not enforceable. Contract law varies from state to state here in the US, but unreasonable contract demands are often invalidated. As an extreme example, you cannot forfeit your right to liberty and become an indentured servant, even if you want to and sign a contract to that effect.

The normal provisions in a TOS are enforceable, but extreme demands would be laughed out of court.

People can even sign away their lives without knowing it if its included in the terms and conditions. Thats why theyre caught up in messes that are irrecoverable!

Reading all terms of services is very important in hosting business because you can go against a term unknowingly which can cost suspension or termination of your service.

That's the reason we always recommend our existing and potential customers to read TOS & SLA carefully when they come to our Live chat...So it also helps us to avoid further confusions.

your post made me mesmerized by it's uniqueness and intellectual part. thanks for sharing wonderful post and most people read tos when he lost or suspend his account

Does any of us read the contract we take with our cell phones? I don't know anyone who does. I think it depends on how much money you are about to kiss goodbye too. BTW, Steve-Hostirian, you are a hero.

And furthermore, they say that some of the next biggest employment opportunities will come for those who know how to read/negotiate T&Cs/SLAs etc.

What a funny prank! But yes, goes to show that no one really ever reads TOS unless it involves the refund policy. Unfortunately too many times people read it only when it's too late and they're already in violation, yet still try to dispute claiming they "didn't know."

Have you guys ever seen a creative commons license? ITs a very common (pun intended) license used by open source software. Anyway one of the interesting things about this license is that there is a human readable version of it. A version summarizing the license in plain English:

http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/3.0/us/

A smart host would make a similar version of their TOS so that laymen could understand it.

A lot of hosts have TOS's a 5 year old could read and understand, but people still don't read them.

Some people simply do not care to take the time to read the fine print, TOS's, etc.

Very Funny

I find this very funny and the only way to solve this would be if people just read the EULA's. It will never happen in this day and age. People just want to get the the box, click that they read, and buy whatever it is they want.
