methods of payment

2co

i get this too and its a pain

this is how we feel

we offer

Paypal, Google Checkout, voice pay and have just started offering 2checkout

as 2CO allows clients to pay using paypal, we have disabled Paypal for new clients.

I read in a different forum numerous complaints about 2co mainly closing accounts without explanations. Am wondering on the validity of these complaints given 2co's dominance in this market

Go cardless were great until they decided to scrap their WHMCS module and now you have to manually mark invoices as paid in WHMCE.
but this last month it seems Gocardless does not care about its merchants.

One of my clients has 1 authorisation and one 1 DD set up with their bank and each month only 1 payment taken, until the Nov. payment and for some reason 2 payments taken on the same day ( client not happy) so contacted gocardless at the time ( 2nd nov.) and no reply. sent several emails since and still they have not bothered to reply, so ended up having to contact BACS direct for their assistance and they were very helpful in explaining what i need to do and what the client needs to do and if happens again then i have to let then know so they can look at gocardless more closely and take action against them if needed.

We use PayPal exclusively for our payment system. It's the most popular payment service, and allows customers to pay without having an account if they wish

I'm a little stunned here that virtually no one has a merchant bank account… Also, PayPal and 2CO is charging you more in transactions fees. Customers are paying 2CO for example not the hosting provider. Then 2CO send you the money later. We accept PayPal sure, but a merchant account gives you a LOT more choices, freedom and lowers your cost in the long run.

If a chargeback hits, PayPal and 2CO will be representing you in the case, and you will not be able to contact banks directly. They will protect themselves first, then you. Also, Bitcoin is another option, especially regarding fraud…

Paypal!

A service like PayPal requires you to send customers off your site, disputes are geared to favor the customer (including freezing the funds in question), the lengths of time it takes to receive your payments, and the other restrictions that they enforce.

2checkout will sort you out better than Paypal in my Opinion

I use both also. As a matter of fact I have a higher percentage of direct cc transactions than paypal transactions.
