methods of payment

Only guessing: I think it would have been related to the type of users they really attracted, I know a lot of illegal activity based selling was done via AlertPay (it really was like the "personal" PayPal back in the day).

Hopefully they will soon be able to re-open services in the UK :) - Would love to give the new Payza a go, I've heard a lot of positive (mind you also negative) from them.

Their is a lot of ILLEGAL activity going through Paypal and all the FSA did with Paypal was refuse to renew their licence, so PP registered in Luxemburg and are still allowed to trade in the UK.

So for them to ban a payment provider, must be very serious

The best and the secure payment method is paypal because in paypal you can call for your refund if you are not satisfied with the service and regarding to security paypal is awesome.

We have had experience with Paypal, Payza (Alertpay), Moneybookers, all major credit cards and have even excepted western union/moneygram on a few occasions. All are viable options.

But then again the amount of legit business going through PayPal is huge. Probably not best compare to the two as I personally believe you'll get very different rations in terms of legit:illegal usage.

Then again no one but Payza/AlertPay and those directly involved will know for sure.

Well the best and secure method is only paypal which is the most authentic payment process. And most of the authentic clients are come through paypal.

Hello,

It depends upon services you want to signup and the payment method allowed by service provider. I do prefer for credit card payment.

There's a lot of credit card fraud so we prefer customers use Paypal since Paypal has done a lot of the verification for us and we are protected as hosting is an intangible good. As a customer, though, I prefer to use credit card with merchants as there are consumer protections and you can dispute and chargeback.

Stripe + PayPal would usually cover what most people would need.

We're in the Stripe beta in UK and it's going great, love the simplicity of it.
