Is anyone using Upmind billing platform?

Would love to hear any real world feedback on Upmind's billing platform for web hosts:

Always happy to see more competition in the space, especially from groups with a serious intent.

I'm intrigued with Upmind, partially due to a very pronounced distaste of WHMCS, but from speaking with other providers, hosted/SaaS billing solutions seemed to be unfavourable.

Do you think that opinion is changing?

Hi,
It seems that you are looking for feedback regarding upmind.

I have recently integrated with our website, and it seems much easier than WHMCS to be frank. Feature wise it's more flexible and configurable on every aspect.

But it has less payment gateways and control panel support, however they are releasing new ones on every year. After using it for 6 months, it seems promising to me.

Are you testing it out, running in parallel to WHMCS or have you entirely switched to it?

I am using it from beginning, not switched. But it lacks some basic features as it's a new application. But it's innovative I would say.

What basic features is it missing? (serious question)

Last week I had a chance to speak to the founders of Upmind and I did bring up the overall concern that it is not a self-hosted solution. Their answer sounded reassuring. I am going to post a brief interview with them next week.

I look forward to that interview! I trialled it out and it's a great product. I don't mind that it's a hosted solution, for me it's the fact that I can't export my data - well, I could if I wrote something against their API but I feel like this feature should be included. Upmind also doesn't support any VPS control panels at the moment, either.

Many basic features in ticket system like marge multiple tickets into one, delete, knowledgable solution is not available.

Also, in invoice system it's very restrictive, you can't do anything with your invoice, you can't delete an invoice, you can't delete a transaction also many things.

Dashboard always shows outdated information to me, don't know why.

With a big delay, but I've published the story and the interview with Upmind CEO:

At the time of this recording, Seb says that if your turn over is $1 million then the pricing is $75 per month. If you check their pricing today for 1 brand, 1 staff member, $1 million turnover the pricing is now $5,000 per month.

Quite the increase!

I think he might have meant an annual turnover, not monthly... At least I took it that way. 🤷‍♂️

It's a good point to bring up though.

I stand corrected in that case, it's still $75 per month with a annual turnover of $1 million 🫡

Let's be honest, WHG (owners of Upmind, hosting-dot-com, A2, and many others now) have their sights set on becoming the next EIG. Garbage support, horrible experiences, all outsourced staff. Nobody knows what they're doing over there!

You're better off sticking with WHMCS. At least there, you can control your own show (kind of)

Does WHG own upmind? Any source? On their website it says it was going to be their internal software but to save it from being scrapped Seb bought the rights to it.

WHG, Upmind, many others... They all share the same CEO. Seb . he's also an investor in enhance

Any time any company is purchased by WHG, they're immediately (within like months) switched over to Upmind...

Not a coincidence. It really doesn't take a rocket scientist to draw those lines.
