How many hours a day do you work?

The amount of hours I work in a day certainly varies, but at least 8 hours seems to be an average. Sometimes less, sometimes more, depending on what's on the agenda for the day.

I work 8 hours for Stream101 (although my staff does most of the work), 8 hours for a nighttime/side business job, and 2-3 hours at my fun/hobby job!

Back when hosting was a hobby, I worked a few hours a day on the hosting. Meanwhile I had a job as a tech for New Hartford CSD.

Currently, I still have that job at New Hartford, and own HostMyThing.com. Total time commitment per week for HMT, probably between 20-50 hours, depending on the week. Some days are busy, and others nice and quiet. I offer 24x7x365 support, and there are those days where I am up at 3 AM because somebody lost their password :/.

All in good fun. You gotta like what you do, especially in this industry. I can't imagine myself putting this kind of time in if I was just interested in the money.

I sometimes work 80 hours a week, but it doesnt feel like it because I love what I do. Time flies by when im working!

I`ve been working on a 8 hr/day - 40hr/week for many years.

Right now I`m doing hardcore 12 hour shifts, but as my particular line of work is really dependant on social media and communication channels, I do spend a lot of time in forums, blogs, social websites... :agree:

Still, during night shifts my separate office gets too lonely for my liking... :disagree:

Well... there are certainly tons of different variations of hours worked... however, when you love what you do, it's basically like not working...

I'd say maybe 15-25 hours a week depending on what's needed. However, I guess I don't consider hanging out on different forums as work... so that might add to it in some people's eyes...

I work about 7 hours a day programming and working on websites not really a job but its money in the pocket for me not that much but for my age its not bad however it can be all varied on how much it is.

I probably put 10-12 hours combined a day but i make breaks for food, tasks outside, 2 hours gym is mandatory so i don't feel the burdain of being online most of my day :)
And I also love what i do, so i don't really call it work, even though it pays the bills and pays my hobbies :)

work anything from a 1hour a day, to a 24hour day, im a NHS career for an epileptic woman, so my hours completely go based on what she requires.
