Do you pay monthly or yearly for your hosting..?

Monthly payment will be more fexible. As you can change your plan or setting anytime.

But Yearly payment will be more cheap as they will provide more discount.

Depend on what you need^^

Yearly

Yearly is not bad for me considering that the monthly rate is $5 a month. I just get it over with for one year so I don't have to worry about it until next year.

I normally pay a month or two monthly and then pay Annually if I feel their a good company. If by the end of 2 months, I'm not comfortable with the company, I move on.

IMO. its a decision that would defer on a case-to-case basis. If you know that the host is reliable and trustworthy, paying upfront for an year for a particular service would cause no harm, plus you'd be able to save few bucks in the long run.

But, if you haven't heard of a particular hosting provider, but are attracted towards the services they offer, you may try their services initially for a couple of months, if you have good experience using their services, you'd think of paying for an year.

i would prefer to pay monthly because if the web host is not good i can always go to another provider without going through the trouble of getting a refund etc.

Definitely pay monthly, makes far more sense than yearly, as it gives you the freedom to use a different host if you want.

i also prefer paying monthly although annual hosting plans are cheaper. but i like the flexibility about monthly plans

It all depends. If you have a good relationship with your provider then I would pay per month faster than if it were not the case.

Lets say the money does not get wired and the mail/letter that asks you to wire the money gets lost. If you have only a platonic relationship with your provider they will cut you off. If you have a somewhat closer relationship to your provider chances are high he would try to reach you in any way he can.

Another matter is reliability. Lets assume that you have a provider with a 100% spotless track record. In this case I would not mind paying per year. Lets say you have a less reliable provider but you would not like to transfer everything. The least you can do is paying per month. If things go south you can always spent you money for the remaining of the year elsewhere.

Finally, like it was mentioned somewhere above, you have the issue of the size of investment. If the value for the service or product is really low people are faster inclined to pay per year than in the case of a large sum.

Depend on price, If Monthly price is $60 and yearly price is $600 (save $120 on yearly price) then I will chose monthly option because of I can't afford large amount..

If monthly price is $2 and yearly is $20 then I will chose yearly option

- If amount is small then we can pay yearly

If I would start a new host i would go with monthly. I like the idea of that you are able to quit your webhosting in just a month(hopefully there wont be need for that). Secondly I would like to be able to upgrade my package whenever I want. Most webhosting companys offers a discount if you pay anually though. My conclusion is that I think the best Idea would be to try a month or two and then buy a year if you like the service.
