Do you pay monthly or yearly for your hosting..?

Paying monthly is preferable as you get safe from...

If company gets bankrupted.

If you wanna upgrade you wanna pay again.

But most companies offer free domains etc and doesnt do monthly payments.

Due to high payment processor charges and also to provide domain etc.

If you have your system correctly set up and you upgrade/downgrade from monthly to annual or visa versa then all you would pay is the difference in plans and if the new plan is cheaper the difference you already paid is placed as a credit on your account for future invoices.

yes some processors charge high fees, but most now will allow you to pass these onto clients.

Paying monthly is preferrable for individuals, because they often do not know in January whether they are going to use this service in June.

However, serious companies prefer annual payments. Service upgrades/downgrades are made within 5-10 minutes any moment you like. Payments are usually computed automatically without any issues.

Therefore, the question is only psychological, not technical. Do you prefer paying often and with smaller portions or issuing payment once a year and forgetting about it till the next year? That is all.
