Sorry for off topic, but i need get get some solution for my web site hosting. I have done a little research about it.
Here is what I have found justhost.com as paid solution or host1free.com as free web hosting solution any reviews about those companies?
Here is my question to you:
1. What is difference between free and paid hosting?
2. Are those companies known well and are they reliable?

Thank you and hope to hear some of your reviews.

Welcome to HD :)
With free hosting you will get limited features and services or support.
I have no experience with these hosting providers so I can't review.

Hello,

On every forum I look on I see host1free promoting themselves. To me that doesn't say much about the service.

It's always better to go with a paid solution because it most cases it will be more reliable and more feature rich.

Regards,
Jack

go paid definitely. but not with justhost. they are terrible. look around the forum for offers/reviews. i currently have shared hosting accounts with valcatohosting (3month in) and plexihost (2weeks in) with 0 issues. i only had one dns related request to both and were answered promptly.

Paid hosting tends to be more reliable and have better support. If your website is important to you, I'd recommend that you invest in paid hosting

Nothing is free in the world, free hosting companies are not going to give maximum protection for your data. I won't say there are no exception. But exceptions are not examples. I shouldn't say, paid hosting will always ensure the protection as well, but still you may expect sorts of responsibilities from them. And the reviews/longevity of a hosting company should tell you how good they are in being responsible with you site.

You can get start to build website in free hosting. it help you to learn webhosting and basic. and you may upgrade later.

With the free webhosting you will have the limited resources, limited disk space, bandwidth, no backup solution, no support. Its good for those who are the starters. But you can't expect these things from the free hosting. Besides you will get what you have paid for with paid webhosting.

Definitely paid hosting is reliable as compared to free hosting. With paid you can't face any issue while free is terrible.

Free versus paid - its all relative to the value you place on your data. :)
Exactly.
If you value your site, want to get quick resolution of problems, need 99.9% uptime then certainly Paid hosting is your only option.

However, if the site is not that important, uptime is not an issue for you, go with Free hosting and save money.

Oh yes, they do indeed love to social-spam. :)
Isn't that always start with a new member asking for reviews about xyz host? or comparing xyz with justhost ?? ;)

It all depends on the company. Providers that stick to only free, will rely mostly on ad revenues from the sites they are hosting. Basically, they will place ads on your websites. Most won't offer quality support or quality uptime either. Also, most free web hosts don't stay in business that long.

With paid hosting, you get support, website tools and good uptime. If you are serious about having an online presence, stick to paid web hosting.

Free host differs in their style: some just make their money by placing annoying ads on your website and control panel. These usually offer poor quality service.
Other companies offer free web hosting as a "trial". While not limited in time, it is limited in features and offers a simple way to upgrade. You can enjoy a reliable hosting but when you need more resources, you upgrade.

Preference between Paid and Free hosting depends on your need.
If you are going for personal site where there is not going to be more traffic then choose Free Hosting or your option is to start official site where traffic is going to be more then u have to for Paid hosting.
Regarding performance and reliabilty Free hosting is not upto the mark and minimal satisfication only.

You get what you pay for.

Premium web hosting, you're paying for the support, reliability, uptime, etc. With free web hosting, you can't expect to have the same benefits and perks.

The difference is like day and nite! (No pun intended and no I'm not Kid Cudi)

Free hosting won't ever give you the reliability paid hosting will. You'll probably get less support. Fewer features. And of course, there is the major risk of them shutting down on you.

Sure paid hosts can shut down and ruin your work but it is up to you to choose the most trust worthy one. I chose ************* because they've been around since the late 90's.

Others might choose Blue Host or Host Gator (both which suck) because they hear the name a lot.

Do you work for *************? You refer them in almost every thread

My viewpoint

Well In free web hosting, free web space can be used to practice programming.

For creating a small personal website free web hosting plan is great, but there are disadvantages with free web hosts :
1. They cannot afford to offer 24/7 or any support .
2. They do not allow FTP access and data transfer is not offered.
3. There can be a problem if one's website generates more traffic.
4. You will be under sub-domain resulting in poor search engine rankings most of the time.
5. Very few free web hosts offer control panel.
6. Some free web hosting plans support a programming language but several do not.

With paid web hosting you get :
1. Control panel such as cPanel, Vdeck, Plesk or Ensim which offer features like web stats, the ability to password protect directories, and the ability to create web based email accounts are being offered by a lot of paid web hosting plans.
2. More disk space and data transfer, and can add more files to ones website which can also handle more traffic.
3. Paid sites offer FTP access.
4. Programming languages such as PHP, ASP, CGI/Perl, the majority of paid web hosting plans is supporting Cold fusion and JSP.
5. Your own domain name will result in better search engine ranking.
6.Most paid web hosts offer 24/7 supports.
7. With this you don't have unwanted text or banner ads

It’s not free this is the only major disadvantage of paid web hosting
