Your.Cloud has acquired Danthas ICT, a Dutch IT provider that spent more than three decades building a reputation inside the primary care sector. The deal brings GP practices, pharmacies, and other healthcare organizations in the Netherlands into the Your.Cloud ecosystem, while Danthas ICT keeps its name, its team, and its Drachten office exactly as they stood before the transaction.
That last part is deliberate. Acquisitions in the managed service provider space often trigger the very thing customers dread most. Familiar contacts disappear, service models shift, and the company folds the personal relationship that took years to build into a corporate template. Your.Cloud’s decentralized operating model actively works against that outcome. Danthas ICT continues trading under its own brand, with the same staff handling the same client relationships they cultivated over years of consistent work.
Danthas ICT founder and managing director Ane Schaap described the decision as one requiring identity protection above everything else. “The DNA of Danthas is highly valued by both customers and colleagues,” he said. “In our search for the next step, it was therefore essential that we could retain our identity.” He also acknowledged the market pressure driving the move, noting that customers increasingly demand deeper capability in security, cloud infrastructure, automation, and AI, areas where a larger group opens doors that a standalone firm struggles to reach independently.
The company profile makes the fit with Your.Cloud fairly logical. Danthas ICT started in 1994 and built particular depth across GP information systems, serving customers across North Holland, Utrecht, Flevoland, Friesland, and Groningen. Its team of more than twenty IT professionals carries firsthand knowledge of how healthcare organizations actually run day to day, the kind of domain expertise a platform cannot quickly acquire from outside.
Nils Vermeulen, General Manager of the TICTS segment at Your.Cloud, pointed to the combination of technical depth and strong customer relationships as the core reason the deal made sense. He also stressed that Your.Cloud gives entrepreneurs room to keep building on their own terms rather than pushing everything into a group-wide template.
Your.Cloud and Danthas ICT chose not to disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
