Your thoughts on .com or .net or?

I say buy both of them anyway. This way if people use the .net extension for your site you can redirect them to the .com version. Also, you do not have to worry about copy cats or squatters purchasing the domain in case you want it later.
 
.com during this time are the most profitable domain names but if you have a popular or three letter domain name in a .net, one can at least double their initial investment.
 
Are you buying domains that are new, or pre-owned ? I had read an article about a couple of guys that bought up domains, built informational websites using them (so they had good search rankings) then would turn around and sell them. Certainly sites that had good Google PR would be worth more than just keyword-named...
