Hello People

I want to share this bad experience with you or any other people out there: DO NOT HIRE SERVICES FROM YardVPS.

Why?

In less than a month, since i hired, my vps went down more than 3 times. Their support guys seem like they laugh in front of your face; they're not able to spend more than 10 words in every answer and they don't even apologize for their poor service.

I'm very upset. I sadly spent my money for a 1 year plan and i'm now requesting a refund.

Sad to hear. For validation purposes, could you please let us know what is the URL that you host with them?

Why don't you share the specific plan you had with YardVPS, and why you believe the issue was with them instead of you?

From their website:
Our plans are completely unmanaged and we do not offer any refunds on our plans

Not sure what you were expecting.

Also, you say your VPS went down "more than 3 times"

How many times was it? 4? 10? Pretty vague.

Also, we have a format for hosting reviews here. You would probably get a better response if you used it.

Here's what I hate about unverified reviews - the OP flames a provider, doesn't provide verification and doesn't participate in discussion - yet the title remains accusing the provider of being a fraud - or that they s***. In this case, the OP posted this on another forum as well, and the provider verified them as a client.

Does this reply your questions?

Well, make a search of "yardvps" in google and you will find some posts of other users complaining. Below is an answer from a top IT specialist in this **company** (i don't like to call it a company, they're just a bunch of thiefs)

"I started your applications one by one where you should be able to ssh in.

Now let me explain to you how a business will work.

1. Since our prices are extremely low it is NOT recommended that you serve production related traffic on the LEAF product line which we mentioned. Most of our users DO NOT use it for production related instead for VPN / proxy purpose.

2. Reboots are caused by kernel panics on the parent node. Since there are more users on this node as well as process that can defunct and cause a reboot. Our goal in this is to minimize downtime so if a reboot is needed we will execute it.

3. If you need a more stable environment we need to move you to TREE or our more enterprise level brand.

Our goal is to ensure everything runs but we can not guarantee something when prices are below the industry standard. This line was released for low end usage.

Like a business you open a coffee shop and you buy 50 cent chairs and a chair that is worth 50 USD. Obviously the chair that is priced higher will have quality material vs a 50 cent chair. The manufacture will try to make the 50 cent chair usable but will it last? In this case you do not blame the 50 cent chairs but instead you made a mistake and replace the chairs. This is the same concept which I am trying to explain to you."

Just make a try... you will understand what i say. I've 15 years of linux management; i know how to setup a simple web server.

If you use your TV 3 times, and the 4th time it doesn't power on anymore... even a dumb will understand there's something wrong with the TV.

Has this been done?

This for sure hasn't been done. :smash:

I dont think the OP is bluffing. I've read a lot of bad reviews about this company. I'd stay away from this company, just to play it safe.

Yeah, it was on some kind of hosting review website, or forum, i dont remember. I didnt see any proof from op, but he's not the only one who's unhappy with this hosting company.

What verification are you talking about? Many Linux admin and developers are complaining about this, like me. What else do you need? Burocracy?

Wow it sounds like you had one hell of a time with this company.

Did they provide Web Hosting, or did they do management services for you.

the url i host with YardVPS (the worst hosting company in the world) is www.xximusic.com

Finally a URL, even though it's been on WHT since February 8th. Since I've already read through all the posts there, no need for questions here, but for those who don't frequent WHT, maybe you could expand on your problems with this provider.

Our YardVPS brand is completely unmanaged and we recommended this client multiple times to go Xen / TREE for better stability. This user choose to disregard
our warnings and recommendations.

While it would have been nice to know the reason why the VPS was going down (network issue or something the customer was doing), there goes the other side of the story. :)

Jim, thank you for addressing the review.

A lot of customers don`t know the service is unmanaged and think if there is a problem, support want to help them.
