Why I Like Free Hosts

free web hosting may cause big problems if your site is important for you . I had a problem with deleting my files with a free web hosting provider.

As a webmaster, I like to use free web hosting to host my non-profit sites, or web sites that are in their beginning stages. It is easy to sign-up for a free web site to try out new site ideas, or just to store files for a while.
i agree with you to a certain extent, some free hosts do a great job, especially for sites not making profit or simplie blogs etc, only thing id say is as a generisation that good value pay hosts usually provide a toip level of support and a great control panel:thumbup:

I have got several complaints from my clients that previously they were using free hosting services and facing lots of problems of ftp and downtime. For a business website nobody can trust free hosts.

Hosting files on their servers doesn't sound like a good idea, something more or less of using your own personal storage sounds better? Just in case your files get wiped.
Not to mention, support with free-hosts can be pretty poor at times.

At all if you don`t way to pay you`ll never receive level of service which could be provided with paid hostings. So if you have some dollars better to spend it for a hosting which meet your needs.

Of course everyone enjoys free hosting. But it is a service and you always get what you paid for. I have had bad experiences with free hosting.

I like free hosts too.
But the ad's are a huge turnoff to me. But I guess if you're just using it for a test site or storage, it doesn't really matter.

That is correct free web hosting would be great if you are using for any temporary website or smth like that.

I remember when I started programming and designing.. I was very young 12-13.. And I didn't have any money to buy hosting.. so I chose free hosting. I remember I switched hosts like 1-2 times per month because usually their uptime was very low and servers were slow and things like that..
They had cPanel and all nice features but their servers weren't good enough..
That's why I don't like free web hosting.. but in other hand.. free web hosting is very good for beginners, for those who want to create their own website (like me).. it offers enough of everything web space and databases and everything that a beginner needs..
I have to agree with HostBill.. web hosting packages are very cheap nowadays.
If you are little bit more advanced user you still should choose a paid hosting.

Definitely agreed. Free hosting can be great for learning stuff with no cost and no real risk.

We've been "pondering" about the benefits during the first 4 pages of this discussion thread. If you decide not to read them and instead try to build backlinks to your company site instead - that's your choice to represent them in that light.
