Who is listed at findmyhost.com ?

Hi,

I just wonder if any of hosting companies contributing here are listed at http://findmyhost.com/ website and how do you manage that?

As they have special requirements (giving them test account, answer their interview calls, etc.) to allow you be listed with them, but after several requests they never getting back (neither testing your hosting features, etc. )..

Does anyone passed their Approved Hosts Application with any result?

Or it's another paid listing site?

hm.. after more then 4 month since we signed up, they only sending some e-newspapers and that's all.. maybe they don't have a time

My experience is also quite similar to you. I think they only list web hosting companies who pay them for advertisement.

findmyhost used to be a great resource for honest reviews
and listings but it was bought by a large web hosting company I do believe and now it just a junk site with affiliate links

all fake who ever pays the most $$$ gets the most traffic

Most sites out there are affiliate sites. their revenue comes from the people that click and sign up .
I found that most sites that are strictly affiliate sites do not have a "search" feature that you can type any name into

Too much advertisement, our site listed but they are asking for money for listening in search list + minimum $50 per referral

Yes, seems they don't really review until get $$$ from you. Better spend into Google adwords.

Which web hosting company bought this website? it looks like this directory is serving a number of advertisers. I can not say if it works good or not or is it biased however?

A long time ago we tried to apply to be on the list, however they required a phone number for client support. Since we've been in business (early 90's) we have never had a phone number for clients, and we still do not. As a result, our application was rejected.

We applied to be on there as well a little while ago, but the guy wanted over a grand just to be listed. Same dude runs a bunch of basically this same site under different domains, it's a pretty obvious cash grab.

It's useless if people find out, but most people never will. A lot of people barely make the effort to look up review sites for things, let alone delving down a level into vetting the actual review sites themselves.
