Which phone to buy?

If your thinking of getting an iphone I'd suggest waiting a few more weeks...apple should be annoucing a new iphone very soon.

Otherwise I'd recommend the Samsung Galaxy S2 - Probably the best android phone out there at the moment.
 
I would recommend an iphone, I have the 3gs as was tempted to buy version 4 but heard of so many problems. Black berry is okay but found it fidderly.
 
For business I would suggest Android! They last and are wonderful for work. For personal use, I would suggest Android! They last, and are wonderful for social networks and chatting. :)

I have used both iPhone and Andoid (specifically on motorola).. And iPhone works better for me as I really like the design and icons are very smooth and apps are filtered in a way that they don't just approved any junk apps. :)

iPhone is really making sure the apps don't affect the phone's performance. And Btw siri is very nice. Check this video:

I recently did a hardware upgrade not even a month ago and had a Galaxy S II for a few days but decided that I needed to switch back to BlackBerry simply due to the keyboard.

I now have a BlackBerry 9900 and it's been fantastic, the only downfall of the phone is the battery life (normally 24 hour use) but for the hours a day I'm using the thing with answering emails, it's been a great phone!

The main reason for exchanging the phone was because of the keyboard that I needed and preferred, and the fact that my android phone kept loosing my emails and at times not even going through.

I would encourage that you go into a BestBuy, FutureShop, or a Cell Dealer and see about playing around with a demo to ensure you find the phone you fall in love with.

Personally, I've been a droid fan for the past couple of years. In September, I upgraded to the Droid Bionic (latest phone relased). Love it. Larger screen - that's what I'm after!

I am considering getting the new Google phone that's coming out soon.

@TannerG, I agree, no better typing experience than on Blackberry.
 
Have the HTC Sensation XE and love it!

If you live in the US, get the Rezound(same as sensation xe but with a few spec upgrades)
 
I followed-through on my previous threat and got myself Galaxy Nexus a week ago. This is my first Android-based device (moving from webOS) and I fell in love 10 minutes into playing with it.

Awesome! You'll love the phone I can assure you that. The only thing you'll eventually hate about the thing is how big it is in your pocket.. Anyways please do let us know in a few months of your experience. The first week is still considered the "Honey-Moon period".

This is definitely not a phone for a pocket (unless it is spacious enough). I am yet to figure out how not to scratch the surface of this gorgeousness. I seriously do not want to use any screen protectors.

I have the S II and I'm not using any screen protector. It is scratch-resistant but of course not scratch-proof. My screen got a slight and inconspicuous scratch after a few months. Not that bad I guess. Go ahead and forget about screen protectors unless you like it to look as good as in mint condition.

Sorry to bring up this older thread.. I would recommend getting an Invisible Shield for the phone. They are normally around 20CAD but include a Life Time warranty through the manufacturer in-case it falls off, you peal it off, or whatever happens to the screen protector.

Also did you get the Nexus Prime? If you are running into some functionality issues I'd recommend updating the software as I know when the phone first came out there were a few bugs.

Nexus Prime is the same as Galaxy Nexus. Actually, the latter is the official correct name. I haven't found any bugs so far. I was aware of the audio issue, but haven't experienced it. There was one over the air update already, but didn't seem to change anything in my user experience. It is a sweet phone, however. Not a day goes by that I am not impressed with it, and everyone who touches it and plays with it, falls in love. I have to say that I don't know what other Android OS version were all about (all I've seen about it was demo videos), but the Ice Cream Sandwich is very intuitive and easy to operate with. It seems to have taken the best from WebOS as well when it comes to live notifications and closing applications by swiping them away in cards-like view.

MobileSyrop.com and AndroidCentral.com are the two resource I stop by from time to time.
