Which phone to buy?

Currently myself I'm using a HTC hero, best thing i like about them is that they can sync with your google accounts, so all your contacts are in one location. So if your phone dies and you need a replacement you can just re-sync, job done.

I used to have a iPhone 3G, I did like it the only thing i didn't like was that you had to use iTunes for syncing etc.

I have a Blackberry, but just got an EVO for my wife - that's the best phone I've ever seen (puts my Blackberry to shame).

Hello sanket-soft,

First off, I would like to ask, what will you be using the phone for? Is it going to be for leisure/personal use or for work/business? If you're looking for a phone to use for yourself I would recommend the iPhone. My wife has the new iPhone 4 but I look at this device as a cool toy/gadget to own.

That said, I believe the BlackBerry is the right tool when it comes to Enterprise/Business. From what I recall, the BB (BlackBerry) devices and services are readily available from more than 200 carriers around the globe. Even though the iPhone has a sleek user interface and a myriad of applications I believe it's still missing the tactile keyboard required by speed typers, battery life etc.

I currently own the BlackBerry Torch 9800 http://us.blackberry.com/smartphones/blackberrytorch/ and like Artashes it was a toss up between a BlackBerry and the Palm. If you're looking to mix business with pleasure :) I would go with a BlackBerry and an iPad on the side :). Also, it might not be a major factor but another nifty application is the BBM (BlackBerry Messenger) which is free instant messaging with other users who own a BlackBerry. Think of it as a chat software such as MSN, Yahoo etc but the plus side is when communicating through BBM the data is not charged but these days most carriers are providing respectable data plans 1GB-6GB of bandwidth a month which should be more than ample.

When you come to a decision please update us and let us know what you got and why :)

I'll suggest to get an Android, and don't skimp on the insurance.... I dropped my business phone in the water (Dumb move on my part having it by the water) And it still saved me around 400 dollars with the deductible... I have they Mytouch Slide through T-Mobile, rooted with 2.3 on it and love it...

Iphone is great. I would never get a blackberry again. had 4, they always freeze up and break within a year and you always have to take the batery out and restart it. Never had any problem with my iphone. Heard the HTC is good too. But i still go with Iphone, great opperating software

Blackberry all the way

I personally have used Iphone, Blackberry, windows phones etc

I always come back to the Blackberry I can do more with BB then someone can do with Iphone.

Although now I find out that More of the applications I am using work better on a iphone.

What to do should I have both types of phones BB and Iphone just to use the apps I need.

Any way, See ya on another post

What to do should I have both types of phones BB and Iphone just to use the apps I need.

I have a Palm Pre Plus as a phone that allows me to both work and be entertained (through apps).

I am planning on getting a second phone BB so that I can stay in touch with people around the world through BBM.

Being an Android user, I'll say Android. I have to admit, it's still got one or two things to fix (e.g: VPN (PPTP) doesn't work), but apart from that it's purely amazing. It runs off linux, so once you're rooted you really do have a mini-server, as I like to call it, in your hands. It's easy to use, lightweight (software wise :D), and has many good apps for any hosting company (PayPal, Control panel for cPanel, Twitter clients, IRC clients and the official WHMCS app)

As for games it has many, though I'm more interested in my emails, Twitter, facebook, host to want to play games, so I'm not much use there.

Really an amazing OS!

Has anyone ever gone from iPhone to Blackberry? It was one of the most depressing experiences of my life. It's like going back in time. I lost my iPhone and didn't have it insured but now i have a company Blackberry and hate it. So unintuitive. I never use any of the 'Office' application and so really don't need to have them - be honest, how many people do. I just need to sync it with Outlook which is easy enough with an IPhone (according to my colleague).

I can't express how much you should NOT get a Blackberry!:help:

I am planning to buy a new phone. Should I buy an Iphone, Blackberry or some other? Please suggest me some good ones ?

Without actually having read every single response, you're prolly going to get a lot of advice for the iPhone. And while it is a very nice phone indeed, there are plenty of other phones that do exactly the same for about half the price. And sometimes they do it better.

Look at just about any up to date Android phone. The app market for Android is huge, thanks to modders you can load various versions of Android onto your phone and you can customize Android as you see fit, not being restricted to the layout Apple demands you use.

Yes the iPhone 4 is a very sexy beast when it comes to the phone's design but in terms of usability I prefer Android, if only because it's cheaper.

Oh yeah, don't get a Blackberry. Those things suck so bad compared to iPhone and Android it's not even funny anymore.

choosing phone differs from user's use.. If you want to use it on business you might probably use iphone because it has icloud which stores information on the web without consuming your memory for your files.

Sorry to be the old-schooler, but I prefer simplicity, durability, few functions, almost week with no charger ;-) I stick with my old Nokia 6310i and I don't plan to change soon.
