What is the best hard drive?

[dysk]

I can only seem to find anecdotal evidence about how good each hard drive brand is. I usually pick drives that based on which model line they are from each manufacturer. Depending upon the server, I usually pick the higher-end workstation drive, or the enterprise grade drive.

Also, raid raid raid raid. It is so much less of a problem to have a drive failure if it's just a matter of replacing and rebuilding.

I have a old 4GB Fujitsu that still works as well, its been through alot of use, I actually still use it 😉

Here's a blast from the past, remember when 3.2gigs was the big thing. I have a fujitsu 3.2 gigs from '97 that is still ticking, and for me it is the best hard drive 🙂

One of these days you will be able to custom build your own hard drives. That would be fun and I think we are moving towards that direction!
