I am guessing this is your new 'fantistico like program' I don't think I will be able to help out any longer.. seem to have run into some problems with getting permission to use the box and such, really really sorry :/
 
No problem, when I get things wrapped up further I have other servers I can test it on. However, anybody with a box that wants to try it out feel free to. It should be safe to use.
 
Seams pretty simple? MLS Lister was a little hard to automate because of the way I wrote it. Noah's Classifieds was extremly easy to automate.
 
Could you post some links to some of the forums you want added? I know about phpbb2 already and planning on doing that one today.

A lot would use that i would say.
You could always throw in vBulletin there too ;)

No you cant, was only joking there Robert.
Costs $160 for an owned license.
Invision and phpbb would be the main ones though, there are a few other big ones but a few are CGI so I wouldnt use them anyway, dont think server admins would want them installed too often either ;)
 
Ok, I was thinking that you could install vB then buy a license. Kinda like how Ensim did wish that shopping cart deal.

Anyhow, got phpbb working. Test it out when you can. I will work on the accounting part later today where it will keep track of what you installed and do some simple error checking.
 
No you cant do that legally with vB Robert, you have to have a license before you install it on a server.
You need one license for every install you do, so you can only install it once (in the one place to be more exact) for each license you have.
Everytime a forum is installed it sends a "message" to the vB team and they can check the license details to see if its a legal install
 
ok, there is full accounting now. So when you install a program it will record what program you installed, where you installed it, and your mysql info for that program.

I will work on the un-installs later tonight and will add error checking.

This is now turning into a nice product.
