Stuck on what type of control panel

CPanel in my opinion is the best, mainly I like the Fantastico package and the act that it is "push button" easy to get a site up and running. Along with WHM for server admin, it helps the average person admin a server without much command line.

I've used cPanel for going on about 6 years now, both as an end user, and a provider. I recommend it. I've heard DirectAdmin is good, and I'm very interested in looking at Enkompass (cPanel's Windows Control Panel).

I would stick with a proven winner and go CPanel after all that is what HostGator uses and they have tons of customers and no problems. If anything could beat CPanel I am sure they would use it. I wish they would have done more marketing back in 1999 when I started it sure makes things a lot easier for me and the customers.

Not necessarily, HostGator has about 7,000 servers I believe (last I heard), and so that's a lot of cPanel servers. Changing to a different CP would take a lot of work, and not only that, all their customers would have to learn a new CP. Unless they had major issues with cPanel, I wouldn't move, even if there was a slightly better control panel available.

I agree. cPanel will be a better option in the Hosting Environment and unless someone is having serious issues its not worth moving to any different control panel.
