Stripe vs. 2Checkout

Stripe has automated payments also.

so Paypal Cheaper than Stripe, see below and you see its the other way round

You aren't taking into account PayPal's tiered pricing. PayPal does start out more expensive (when speaking in pounds, USD Stripe actually costs more), but once you do any real volume your fee's drop dramatically.

https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/pro

As for Stripe, they do indeed start our cheaper when you are looking at GB, but then again they won't even consider a better rate prior to reaching £20,000 whereas with PayPal by the time you reach £15,000 you are already paying less - 1.9%.

Looking at USD, Stripe starts out at the same pricing as PayPal, however again require you to reach $80K a month whereas with PayPal you will already be at 2.2%.

When you compare apples to apples, PayPal is certainly cheaper.

As to PayPal handling payments, they have been doing that for the better part of a decade, if not longer...

PayPal is only cheaper when using the 50cent flat fee business payments which do not allow credit cards and are only for US-based businesses.

The flat fee business payments is the main reason I use PayPal as I have a large number of "overseas" customers and the vast majority if my US-based customers are businesses that prefer credit cards over PayPal.

There is really no reason not to give customers variety and many find that e.g., Amazon payments are convenient if they have an Amazon account.

More is better!

Completely incorrect.

Well it might surprise you but 100% of payment processors have tiered fees, the more that goes through them the cheaper it is for you in fees

https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/pro

That link is Paypal Pro which is totally different to Standard Paypal

https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/paypal-fees

Standard transaction fee within the UK :3.4% + 20p per transaction.
Discounted fee for eligible merchants and not-for-profit organisations (upon application and approval) :As low as 1.4% + 20p per transaction based on volume.
Micropayments within the UK (upon application and approval) :5% + 5p per transaction.

https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/marketingweb?cmd=_display-xborder-fees-outside

$0.00 USD - $3,000.00 USD 3.9% + $0.30 USD
$3,000.01 USD - $10,000.00 USD (Merchant Rate qualification required) 3.5% + $0.30 USD
$10,000.01 USD - $100,000.00 USD (Merchant Rate qualification required) 3.2% + $0.30 USD
> $100,000.00 USD (Merchant Rate qualification required) 2.9% + $0.30 USD

https://stripe.com/gb/pricing

2.4% + 20p
per successful charge.

so Stripe is still cheaper than Paypal even on the paypal > $100,000.00 USD tier
