Smartphones Yes Or No?

I have an iPhone-only had it a week now but I love it. Truly, I could run my life off the thing! The only thing I dislike is the thing that I love-sometimes the connectivity gets a wee bit trying. There are times that I just want the world to not know where I am.

Features wise the thing is just superb.

Yes, I am legally blind. I can see and I can drive a car. The problem msot have who are legally blind or blind is, they are unwilling to to defy societies thoughts. Society sees individuals with disabilities as second rate. I am just as capable of driving well as anyone else on the road, is it harder for me? Sure is. Have I accepted aids to make it happen sure did.

My success while fighting a system that is stacked and a disability that can leave you broken proves that no matter who you are, what you have goning against you, you can still overcome it. People have this time believing that if they are a minority or disabled that they cannot do it. The only reason why they don't is because in their head they have it that they can't.

Good point brother from another mother :D

Iphone is overrated. Google android is where its going to be

I'd never heard of Android before I saw an application on sale for it today-an iPhone IM program I was installing it had a version for Android. May I ask-what is it? Is it a fully Google coded phone, all google software and so on?

I have a Samsung Blackjack (the original) and I love it. I am legally blind and the screen + key pad is great. I am looking forward to an iPhone though. It has the ability to increase the screen and text. I might just go buy one.

Ahhh Blackjack is amazing phone! I had but I guess older version with Win 5.0, 2 years ago I think.

atm, I'm using Nokia E71, so far so good for my needs.
Gmail, Opera, SMS, Call :) ... great batt.
When I'm in office I using program BluePhoneElite and connect e71 with iMac via bt, and them I have my hands free, receiving calls & sms via iMac.

Anyway, if you are Mac user, I recommend to all of you to check BluePhoneElite, it support a lot of mobile phones, and it can be useful for you same as for me.

I own a Blackberry Curve, and its amazing...couldn't live without it now. Phone, e-mail, browser and music player all in one, and it all works perfectly.

No smartphones and I'm doing fine :P I don't see the point really. Sometimes people need a break from work

Smartphones has its uses. Sometimes I can't be near my workstation but still needs to keep track of server performance. A smartphone can help me track these without sacrificing time for my family and friends.

I use a G1, it's the best phone I had so far to surf the net and email (and I tried many other phone included iphone and BB).

I use a blackberry, however as long as you have anything that can receive email or sms for alerts and notifications of time type. You should be fine as long as you know action for your business is required. :)

I use the BlackBerry, very easy to use and very convenient! I would recommend purchasing one, as they're not too expensive!

If you have a business account, you can usually get them while running special deals! Got mine at 99 cents, granted you still need a two year contract. But you usually need a contract wherever you go. Their most common offer is usually $99.00 for a blackberry.

Im currently using the G1 (Google Phone), best tool I have to handle my business when im away.

G1 have a software to hook up to your laptop to give it the 3G internet access, which is handy when your out some where without WiFi access.

I'm torn between Blackberry and an Android-powered device for my next phone. I enjoy Blackberry's quick boot time and ease-of-use but, so long as Google is continuing to take over the world of technology, going with Android seems like perhaps a better plan for the future.

I have the nokia n71; all of my employee's most carry some sort of pop featured smartphone. I see a crap load of blackberrys and a few google phones as well.

My husband and I just got the Nokia e71x through AT&T. First choice was the G1, but decided the coverage was lacking in our area.

We decided between my merchandising job and his security we are all over the place and needed an upgrade when we got a new service provider. Love the phone, no complaints at all, and my manager adores it as well. Text, pics and new bluetooth headset so I can update him and talk no matter what.

Don't know how I ever survived with an i530 from Nextel for the past 4 years. :uhh:
