Reselling ssl

NameCheaps SSL reseller brand is only slightly more expensive and has great customer service.

I agree that the support Namecheap give is excellent, but they need to know what they are doing when selling SSL certs.

I say this through experience of renewing SSL certs. Namecheap are great when you initially purchase an SSL cert, the problem is when you come to renew any SSL through them, they always mess renewals up and always blame Comodo/Rapidssl/Geotrust/Thawte etc.

Is this when you purchase an SSL certificate directly at NameCheap or also on their new SSL reseller division (CheapSSLS.com)?

cheapssl is just another retail brand of Namecheap that has an option to become a reseller which you can also get direct from namecheap. both brands run on the same system with the same support/tech staff. just that cheapssl just offers ssl certs with a larger range than direct from namecheap.

i had the same issue from both, but as i stated this is because they are run by the same staff

Hm thanks for that insight. I always thought they put in extra effort into a all new system to fix the issues with reselling directly at NameCheap, guess not.

Yes that's what i thought when they set up a dedicated SSL site. I even reported them on one occasion to Comodo and all i got back was "as Namecheap are our biggest distributor, we guarantee they know what they are doing in relation to SSL certificates"

even after i provided Comodo with copies of transcripts etc. they would not believe what i was telling them or showing them.

Was not a big fan of NameCheap's system anyway, didn't fully integrate into WHMCS like other competitors.
We're using the Namecheap module integrated in WHMCS and it's working fine for us. What's not fully integrated in your opinion? Setup is fully automated, reissue is automated as well...
