No, you can resell SSL certs without having any system like WHMCS. Yes most SSL providers will have a WHMCS module, which automates the process for the client, as in the client will place the order and pay you and then they client will be asked to add their CSR which will be sent to the CA etc, but for this to the fully automated is that you have funds in your account with the SSL provider you are using, so that when i client pays you and the order goes to your provider they take their costs from the funds you hold with them. If you dont have these funds then once you get the order you will need to goto your provider and pay them for the SSL, so they can process this for your client.

we use GOGETSSL and they have modules for several systems http://www.gogetssl.com/reseller-program/

So with any cart my client makes payment then I set the order on status processing then I go to my ssl supplier and then pay just for the unit and after that what ,how I assign my client the ssl manually?

Thanks 4 reading hon

to assign manually, you would need the CSR from your client and then provide this to your supplier who will then issue the SSL cert to the email address that is given to them for installation.

we find even automating this, it is best for us to install the certs as some people get confused with this

SSL reselling

You can resell SSL certificates through almost any of the main companies if meet their requirements or investments so most use a middle-man companiy and resell them through them.
Depending on what backend if any you use for your site most of them have modules or plugins for at least a few of the more popular SSL reselling options.
If do it right you can get good enough pricing that you can easily make a few bucks reselling them to your own clients.
Namecheap has a fair reseller program for selling SSL as does Enom and also OpenSRS, I use many and watch for their promotions and then depending on what type of cert client needs would determine which account I use, main goal always to give the client the best price.

there are many providers offering SSL reselling partner programs, f.ex. thesslstore.com , etc.

exactly, it puzzles me why some people are scared at using google. a simple search brings up many and then they could find a few and then come to forums for views on these providers

Let me explain you the process of SSL set up with an example. Our company uses Enom reseller program for this.

After your customer makes a purchase of SSL cert from you, you need to ask them to provide you with the following information:
1) his CSR. Information about CSR generation you can find here http://www.geotrust.com/support/generate-csr/ (it depends on the type of web server, where his domain hosts)
2) his contact information:
First Name
Last Name
Organization
Title/Role
Email
Address
City
Postal/Zip Code
Country
Province
Telephone Number

After that you have to log in your enom reseller account, purchase needed type of SSL cert and proceed with configuration. To configure SSL you paste CSR in the proper field and your customer’s contact information. Then you will be asked for Approval Email, where your SSL cert will be sent afterwards. Usually approval email can be chosen from the following options: it can be email address mentioned in your customer’s contact information or admin@domain.com administrator@domain.com root@domain.com etc.(domain.com – is the domain, for which SSL cert will be issued)

After that you can tell your customer to check his email, check the accuracy of SSL information and approve SSL order. After he does this, SSL cert will be sent to his email address and he’ll be able to install it on server

The benefit to using WHMCS is that some SSL resellers have a module that plugs into your WHMCS and handles most of it for you.

For instance with thesslstore you install their WHMCS module then when you make a sale, it handles all the SSL ordering and information for you. As easy as that!

gogetssl also have a WHMCS module and their prices are cheaper than thesslstore
