Outsourcing Support

Have any of you gotten to the point where you have to outsource your hosting businesses' support? If so how much do you spend on that on a monthly basis?

I'd like to know this aswell. Because we also run a computer store we have enough staff to cover our needs at the moment, but I'm interested in the costs.

I always wondered how small hosting companies handled support. It seems like the companies that provide hosting support at this time through outsourcing are charging a little much for the services.

Cats where is your computer store located?

If you want it done correctly your best off doing it yourself :)

Some compaines do it by ticket, problem, or by month. Ranges from 50 cents a ticket with a mim of 100 tickets or 200 tickets etc...

We used to outsource part of our support to somebody, as he was specialised in the area, but we are considering revisiting the entire area again now.
My main concern with any kind of outsourcing is quality.
We pride ourselves on offering clients a very high level of technical support and service, so we need to be able to ensure that anybody who works with us, even on a contract basis, is able to fulfill those criteria.

May we ask whom you used to outsource with? ;)

Sometimes that is the best :) also if they specailize in one area that is even better so you can stay focused on your main aspect of your business

I know that there are companies that specialise in offering support, but I would love to hear from a professional company that had used them.
Frattay22 - Agreed. In our case we outsourced support for java users to a 3rd party and it worked out really well.
