Next Generation Web Hosting 2023

You cant really get the traditional desktop anymore as these were replaced by towers/mini-towers/slim towers. Even laptops are being overtaken by tablets for those on the go

you just need to look around now to see how many people have iPhones and tablets rather than bulky laptops, so websites will be managed through tablets and smartphones

Yes and some tables can become laptops. Which actually have been around a while. My brother has a netbook/tablet that he has had for several years now.

Webhosting will remain same in 2023 as now...:) :)

May be web hosting will remain as it is in 2023 as well because when the PC was introduced many people said the age of a paperless office is coming but here we are, 30 years passed and papers are still around in every office. :shaky:

I think it's going to be absolutely insane and the new technology and storing data in our DNA, I think there is a chance that could be brought out a little bit more..

The optimist says that hosting companies will continue to do well, business will thrive. The pessimist says that major telcos (AT&T, Comcast, etc.) and large companies (Google, Amazon, etc.) will put all of us out of business (either by buyout or based on price):disagree:.

netbooks are the way forward, honestly with traveling and running a company etc, theres somethings a tablet just cant do.

I think today we have many app's based on cloud storage and processing based but in near future almost every thing will be cloud based on a remote location. I personally think that shared hosting will be replaced only with VPS and dedicated hosting and a huge massive dictionary of DNS and domain names. Well, probably we won't have street names but surely domain names as a form of recognition.. :D

The unlimited hard drive to be invented - Wouldn't that be awesome :D.

I really don't see much changing over the next 10 years for your average website. Just more technological advances, faster drives with more space type of thing.

Cloud Computing seems to be the future of Hosting industry. We can also expect some new technologies to be invented until 2023.

Agreed

Yes most wont if you have a residential broadband contract/connection, but it is different if you have a business service with your ISP, but if you have a home server to run a hosting business, then you have to think of the added security and utility costs.

Even I agree that even If ISP's allow anyone for hosting at home still, added security, overhead costs, maintenance does matter.
