More Reviews = Credibility?

As I know WHT is a trustworthy forum for read genuine reviews.

WHT is full of so called review threads where a user will put down a host before even contacting the hosts to resolve the iissue, so these are not genuine reviews

also people most likely post on forums of bad experiences and not good experiences so you cant take forum reviews as genuien review of a host

So is there a chance that some reviews even in forums are not really real customer reviews?

I think it's good to have reviews, but sometimes customers are untrusting of reviews, so they are only one element of many.

I think something else that helps is to have forums on your site where customers can come and ask questions. Then people can see realistically what your host is like, from real current customers, whose posts are unedited and uncensored. This also will lighten the load on support if done properly.

Do having a lot of reviews make your company more credible and trustworthy for consumers?

Most people would probably answer "yes" to this, but I actually don't find reviews helpful. It's too easy nowadays to pay third party companies to come in and flood a site with fake reviews, so I never believe internet based reviews when I read them, especially if they are overwhelmingly positive. Now, if I hear a rave review about a product or company from someone I actually know, then yes, it does make the company more credible/trustworthy.

I agree Hosting King, it is very important for a hosting company to have their own forums. It is where real customer feedback and reviews are found. It can help very much those people seeking for a great provider. :)
