Internet Explorer Vs Firefox

Firefox here.

about the security being a "moot" point though,
I disagree i said in another part of the forum somewhere that the security is better in FF.
I havent had any virus at all from using FF,
but with IE i had viruses spy ware ad ware and popups galore with it.

Or perhapse im just unlucky with IE.
I do agree you should still have more security though.

Between the two I'd have to say Firefox -- I actually downloaded IE8 a few days ago; I decided to stop using it after I crashed three times in a five minute session. I'm currently using Chrome.
 
IE is so slow at loading javascript and the browser usually stops for a minute or two on some popular news and hardware sites i visit.

Firefox 100%. I used to work for Microsoft and many employees used Firefox in the office(even though you could get in trouble). When asked why they risked it, most said "it's faster"
