How to select a webhosting provider?

Research is always key when finding which webhost to move to. Look at reviews, uptime, forums like this, etc. Just do your homework and you should be fine.

In my experience many reviews are forged and not true, you can see this that the reviewing person is a newbie always when they recommend a company ( one of the marketing trick) always rely on others words, just pm the persons who had posted at the review and then know about their views

Money matters but if you choose cheap hosting provider then you will get cheaper support from them. I will recommend to choose hosting company who provides 24/7 live support to fix your issue at any point of time.

Choosing a hosting company is hard nowadays with the thousands if not millions of hosting companies out there. However, with the right steps, the process is simplified.

You should take into account uptime, support, reputation and speed. Speed and uptime are especially important. People do get pissed if your site is slow and down. Slow speeds and crappy uptime are big killers.

To find out their reputation, you could try looking for reviews on the internet. If the host is new and doesn't have reviews, maybe you could give them a shot. Most of them offer free trials or money back guarantee, the latter being more common.

You should skip unlimited offers from hosts as nothing is unlimited. Unlimited hard drive? I'd like to see it.

Well, I hope that I've helped. :)

It is like this

1) analyse what you need first, exactly prepare the details of what is your need from the host

2) Search net, forums, reviews, and first shoot an email to the company, check how much time they take to reply, most of the companies not even see their mails.

3) If they have chat have a chat and then ask for reduction, if they are giving reduction then never select (lol) good companies never give reduction in chat

Wow, good advices, thanks!

What useful tips would you provide from your own experience? What major factors should be usually taken into consideration when selecting a hosting account? Thanks in advance!

I would highly suggest that you look up information on the Host that you're looking to use. There is important information for you provided on numerous forums regarding the history and inner working of web host providers.

so to sum up How to select a webhosting provider is
they have great deal package,
and off course best rensponse and support!

answer of this question sometimes depends on your needs.. Some companies never forgive you and they suspend your account without any warning... If you are a shared hosting customer, mostly they don;t spend their time to send you an infomative email..

ALso, some of them suspend your account if you don;t pay for a month, some of them can tolerance for 2-3 months..

SOme of them do not privide 24/7 service, but they may provide best service in business hours.. some of the have 24/7 service, but you may wait hours an hours for your email to be replied by them:))))

Some small tips I can offer are:

1. Company should have online live chat which is actually online atleast in business hours.
2. They should have a phone number even if it's not toll free. Call them, make sure they pick up.
3. They should have a valid address.
4. Company should not offer unlimited diskspace/bandwidth. Be realistic.
5. Some uptime reports and positive reviews would be great.

That's about it, good luck with you search.
