How many clients do you have?

Since I no longer run my own hosting, I have less than 50 for sure. I have a small reseller account and let close friends pay a small fee to use it. I've had to leave the hosting industry for more schooling.

50+ Clients is pretty good, especially for starters :D

Hello,

We have exactly 144 Paid Clients at this moment where there are 109 Paypal Subscriber and 34 CreditCard payer. And we are growing daily. We are not counting the free users. Free plan is for testing purpose only whichever has small resources.

Regards,

do all of you have other jobs and just do this part time? How can you stay in business only having an average of 50 customers?

I have 1189

Number of clients is irrelevant to profit and loss.
You could have 5000 clients and be losing money or you could have 20 clients and be making good money.
Depends on your business plan.

I agree but what is your definition of "good money"? I highly doubt you could make good money hosting only 20 accounts unless those 20 accounts are dedicated servers you are offering. I'd consider good money only something that I could do full time or at least close to it. Also if you have 5000 customers and you are losing money you are definitely doing something wrong and shouldn't be in this business. I'm sure some of the hosts offering $1-$2/month accounts made this mistake.

I have to agree with Blue. If you go out and buy 40 clients and pay 350 for it but you only may 250 off them your loosing money. You will be in the positive the next year. So It depends on how you run your business. We all know it can be done, but some have a better idea than others. Not trying to offend anyone.

Rightly said(@blue). I have started the business just now, and I am currently having some 15 clients. All of them are paypal subscribers and not yet launched any free accounts. We are planning to launch them by the end of this month. I hope I would find another dozen of clients or more than that before the end of this year.

I couldnt possibly give you an exact figure or anything like that, due to Privacy and Confidentiality reasons. But its well over 200.

But sadly, this poll is closed and hence could not vote. :(
