Google no longer existing?

but never google goes down be sure ;)

never say never as it can happen.

over the last 24 months their has been some MAJOR businesses folded in the USA and UK.

no business even Microsoft is secure.

businesses like Google and Microsoft survive on large investments and bank loans, so all it takes is one of these investors to pull their investment or banks to call in their loan and this would leave the company in trouble.

The likeliness of google shutting down in the foreseeable future is very unlikely. However, a lot of my traffic comes out of advertising from other sites and forums too.

WebSound is mainly directed at a small majority of people, I don't intend for it to have a massive client base in the foreseeable future, google currently isn't a big addon for us.

true, but not impossible
Correct, it's not impossible, but I doubt it'd happen in the foreseeable future really. Google have far too much popularity and publicity for them to even consider shutting down, especially with all the extra additions they have such as adsense, adwords etc. They're making way too much money at the moment for them to consider it.

this is the wrong mentality, just because the have adsense etc. that they wont consider shutting.

yes they may not consider shutting like most businesses wont consider this, but if the business is faced with a huge tax bill, investors pulling out or bank forclosing on loans they sometime dont have a say in closing.
just because it states a company is worth $$$$$ does not mean ready cash.

google at the moment like amazon/starbucks etc. are all facing a major tax investigation in the UK as they have all been avoiding paying Uk taxes.

Correct yes, this is the likely reason to close down. When I wrote my post, i'm more referring to they're just coming to the conclusion to close without any reason, and this is what the threads sort of getting at, them closing without any reason, that isn't likely to happen as they're making money.

However, if like you said, they're faced with a tax bill, they could be likely to close.

Companies investing in their rivals isn't unheard of or strange, if they see they can make a return on investment without actively challenging them in market it's a win-win.

That is a shocking news for me. Why would Google close? I could not imagine they would get broke . It is established and is really doing great.

Nobody says they would close, just that they could close

Why would Google close?

Google like a lot of large company will rely on Bank investments and Private investments. any of these could pull out and demand their investment back, which could lead to issues forcing Google to close.

It is established and is really doing great.

this means nothing, well established companies/brands have closed down, even if it seems they are doing well.
