Ontime, yep should always try different resources first but if they are going to charge you for their hardware failing that is just terrible
 
Yes, smaller hosts support is usually faster. Smaller hosts tend to see their customers as the most important part of their buisness, not money.

Savvis is nice, we have a machine there through LayeredTech as well.

TeamNet's Prairie Lakes DC in Cedar Falls, Iowa is my favorite though :). Beautiful facility, perfect location, and they've been unbelievably nice to work with. We love working with such a small close-knit operation that's so well taken care of.
 
LiquidWeb seems to offer about the best support I have seen. The planet is alright but most of the staff makes like $10 per hour so if you have a serious problem it is not always resolved quickly the first time.

I have never had issues with liquidweb except for their billing / sales system but thats minor... they get my vote.
