Definitely cPanel.

I prefer Cpanel and Helm(for windows),these are the most convenient control panels, though Helm has some bugs

CPanel without doubt for Linux and Helm if the OS is Windows. Plesk is good but when there are issues, its a pain.

I like cPanel since it has a lot of functionality, simple to use (not so simple for beginners). I also like directadmin since is even simple to use than cPanel but too little options for me:devil:.

Of course for windows i choose Plesk.

So my favorites are cPanel,DirectAdmin,Plesk.

When the windows cPanel version will be out i think i will remove Plesk from my favorite control panels.

cPanel/WHM is the way to go without a doubt. I still haven't seen a control panel to match.

C-panel is the leading panel, no doubt. Its even pretty easy for a junkie to use. All other users must try c-panel. U will like it.

Not really. You can browse around the DirectAdmin forums and they have plugins similar to those from cPanel that you can add. I found myself an IP blocker, Hotlink Protection, and Awstats from the DirectAdmin forums . I prefer DirectAdmin over cPanel because it's simple, cheaper, and consumes less resources.

I agree with Rageki-John, I was also looking for the plugins and they are really similar.

I think that while the subject of this thread still carries value today, this thread is from 3 years ago. Most likely, new software has hit the market since 2005, some applications might have been degraded or upgraded. So if anyone wants to discuss favorite control panels with a fresher perspective, please feel free to start a new thread.
