Offer forums, but no heavy forums.

The thing to stay away from is opening the door to allowing your customer to think you'll provide technical support for the application, outside of the realm of hosting it.

Bingo! 3rd party applications are a no no, more trouble that worth. Lucky for me I learned this the hard way, but with a friend/client years back. Its something that can be done but I don't know many that would recommend it.

I've noticed too that there are forums for almost any subject immagineable. Do we really need all this? I guess if people will chat with each other on a wide variety subjects then it's gonna bring about the desire for a forum. Another thing I've noticed is how many similar forums are out there. I can't tell you how many wah forums I have seen out there and they basically all have the same thing.
