Do you love JOOMLA?

Joomla is tough but better as compare to wordpress. Wordpress are used for blog posting and with Joomla you can integrate shopping card, can create photo gallery, news feed, membership registration...

I love joomla, it is more powerful than wordpress and has better seo. I can create much more professional websites with it and also train people to use it.

"Joomla is a dead end" I don't think so. I have worked with both and joomla can do pretty much anything Drupal can do, only easier and faster.

It all depends on the type of business and features you are going to include for your website but you cant ignore the fact, it is among top 3 along with wordpress and drupal.

I think Joomla CMS is a good open source to update websites frequently. Even non-technical people can also easily handle joomla according to their needs. And if you have a cPanel then you can easily install Joomla for your website through Softaculous or fantastico.

Both has their own advantages and disadvantages. Though, what you think about SEO on Wordpress and Joomla is interesting. I got a hard time making URL on my Joomla website search engine friendly, no matter what components I tried. While on Wordpress, all your webpages' URL's are search engine friendly by default.

I have tried Joomla and was not a big fan of it. It seems a little complicated to perform simple actions. I have been working with scripts and websites for years and as many times I have tried to use Joomla, I just ended up removing it within a couple days.

I am a wordpress fan myself. Its a very versatile system that can be expanded and tweaked in so many ways. I also think it is a lot more user friendly as far as managing your site.

Joomla to the newbies seems a bit daunting at first but in an hour youl be flying - it's not all that hard. same goes for Drupal, both different beasts - my vote goes for Joomla though =)

Joomla is a bit professional for newbies, i think Wordpress does it much better in making things simple.

Well, none the less Joomla provides advanced options and design.

We use Joomla a lot.
But I always go home fearing that some hacker might deface it at any time.
It has happened to us so many times.... :(

I see a lot of people using it and say it is rather good.

However I prefer everything to be built by myself rather than use a system, not really used it so I wont say I love it.

The good old way :)

I love Wordpress because it is easy to use, mange, it is user and search engine friendly. It is compatible to many tools and web browsers.

This is why Joomla scares the hell out of us as a provider. We offer it and lots of our customers use it, but if it is not updated regularly it is a hack waiting to happen...not if but when...[;-(

Joomla,

I dislike it as its so hard to configure and make it do what i want it to do. I wish they would make proper manuals for things.

Thanks

An advantage of Joomla is that it lets you modify and add content. Same thing can be done on images and multimedia. In addition, with Joomla you can also organize and manage important data. A broad selection of porweful add-ons and extensions can be utilized : Forums and chat software, Blogging software, Calendars, Image and multimedia galleries, etc..
