Do you guys trust Free Hosts?

Yes they are different but they all still follow the same principle.

free hosting is where a host will give plans away FREE, these plans will be full of ads and will not have features like MySQL, CGI, emails etc.

a free trial is where you order paid hosting as normal, but the host will allow you to use the plan for a short period before you are invoiced.

these are 2 different things with different principles.

The term "free" means the same, regardless of how it's used or presented.

Free hosting: pro and contra
A lot of hosting companies now provide free hosting. Is free hosting good or not? Should you use it? What is better: free or paid hosting?

Our answer is: paid hosting. Below we'll list the disadvantages of free hosting for you to know more about it and do immediately sign up for it. Actually, "free" doesn't mean "the best".

No ownership

The main disadvantage of using free web hosting service is that you don’t control your own site. There may be frequent changes to free hosting provider services and policies and then you might be forced to look for a new webhosting, transferring the content may not be allowed as well. Thus, do not take a risk with free web hosting services, you'd better go for paid web hosting services.

No Guarantee

When using free hosting service, your website may face downtime and there is no guarantee that your hosting provider will try to get your website “up” soon because the service is free and you do not pay for maintenance. Thus you are not guaranteed that your site will be up all the time and you are left on your own without even being able to complain for their slow customer service.

Lack of benefits

There are numerous benefits available with paid web hosting services, unlike free web hosting. For example, you may need to have sub-domains for your websites. But free web hosting services won't provide you with such service. Moreover, there are lots of limitations at free hosting providers, such as limited diskspace, limited bandwidth and so on.

Advertisement on your site

Many free webhostings provide their services with a condition of reciprocal link (i.e. the link from your site to their site) or adding advertisements to your site. Would you like to have your site overwhelmed with lots of ads? We doubt it. To get reliable hosting with no ads adding, please go here.

Dangerous neighbors

Most adult sites and spam blogs are using free hosting service. This may have impact on your site, with you having nothing to do with it. Though free hosting shouldn't affect search engine ranking, but it would be much better to have better sites hosted on your server.

Most free web hosts impose advertising on your website. This is done to cover the costs of providing your site the free web space and associated services.

In my experience free hosting at some point always involves allowing advertising on your website or something like that. Like it is mentioned above, at some point they must earn money and honestly the only way I can imagine a free host earning money is by advertising. Although I do see how google would be able to turn free hosting in a profitable business. Their advertising is "accepted" and they can make use of their established advertising networks.

4 Year ago I was apply for a Reseller2Post account and I complete their all requirement and they provide a reseller hosting account info in PM

After I design a template, etc then within a week they terminate account..

If you're running a site that's important to you and has a lot of traffic I would advise you to pay. Now, if you're just messing around and trying to learn the ropes of hosting & web design industry then it's fine to go with a free host.

I kinda dont trust free hosts .Free hosts often want ads and mostly those who dont ask to show ads also SO I would go with paid web hosting companies...
what about you guys..?

Yes, tried using it on my personal domain. Its good and Im using it currently. the only disadvantage is, you can never compain if they have down times. :disagree:

Never host something you value on a free host. They will literally stick thousands of sites on a single server and I doubt it comes with much support.

Well I always prefer cheap web hosting companies over free web hosting, free web hosting service is quite annoying and its not reliable for professional website or blog.

No I do not trust free web hosting for two reasons.
A. The support tends to be non-existent or very slow.
B. They either force ads OR servers are poor and cheap.

Personally I have never used one but if I gather every story I have heard from family, friends and clients the book would be thick. I hate the idea of it because honestly I know its just not possible. Nothing is ever free and if by chance it is, it comes with a heavy price.

There are good free hosts out there, I promise you that. It didn't take long for me to get interested in having a website after I got my first computer, and it seems like every year I find myself wanting a fresh new start with a new host and a new 'life'.

I've always gone with the free hosts that have the best reviews and the highest votes. I think the best free webhost I ever used was Awardspace. It was a bit difficult to maneuver around the interface but I very rarely had any issues with it. I've also tried a number of free hosts that advertised from forums like these, several of which were bad because they were often new 'companies' that would cease to exist after a few months. Always go for a host that's been around the block in terms of service.
