Cpanel Vs Direct Admin Vs Plesk

id always say cPanel as most users expect it these days and for those who havent used it before its fairly self intuative

cPanel is best for Linux server and Plesk is for windows server.

Plesk works fine either for Linux or Windows OS and it's getting popular now. After SWsoft launched Plesk 9 version more companies started to use it. For me cPanel is more advanced control panel then plesk and then DA

I am not seeing Plesk 9 being offered by many companies, this can be confirmed by the threads posted at few forums, this days most of the companies are shifting towards DNP and in Linux Cpanel and DA for VPS lxadmin this is my personal view

I think cPanel blows plesk and DA out of the water.

Id hav eto agree, by far cPanel have provided what hosts and users want at a good price and with good service in almost all cases that iv heard of or from past experience. Yes plesk and DirectAdmin are good for windows however if cPanel bridge the grap to windows.. they will have no where left to hide :smash:

obviously there are things we'd all like cPanel to have and a lot of those things are being added, again in most cases :)

Cpanel is only for Linux but they just released a beta for Windows Servers. Plesk interface is little slow but it's for both Windows and Linux servers.

As long as everyone remembers the price tag of what cPanel is compared to that of DirectAdmin. It DOES beat the other software (my own opinion), but for the price, it SHOULD beat the competition ;)

Is there any user who can provide some features which is present in Cpanel and not in DA ? Is there any such features in Cpanel which is not available in DA? I am seeing that Cpanel sites can now directly backed up to DA db and then converted into its format, this is useful for transfer of sites from Cpanel to DA

I prefer cPanel, mainly because it is the control panel I have worked with the most for years, I'm sure many others are in the same boat as I am when it comes to a control panel preference. However, cPanel/DA is a good choice for anyone honestly.

I've found that a lot of website owners looking for websites seem to ask for cPanel.
So, I guess it might not matter what the web host's preference is.
They might have to provide what the customer asks for.

I personally have experience only with cPanel at the moment, but will be looking at many other control panels soon to support them in the software we sell.
I've heard a lot of good things about DirectAdmin, though.
