Best way to get customers?

I actually think posting on forums and giving special discounts works a lot. It has given me more customers then most paid sites do.
 
Use as much free advertising as you can. Try to convert business's that already have hosting and offer them a better deal. Another way is social media sites. They work. Also advertise in the newspaper. Hope this helps.

Word of mouth works very well.

Local advertising I never tried, but this year we have an ad out in a fairly large restaurant/hotel booklet. So, we'll see if we get anything from that.
 
Stick to the customers you have, improve there business & relations as much as possible, then focus on getting new business.

Alot of people seem to forget about the customers they already have and worry more about getting new clients, stick to those who stick to you & your audience will grow :)
