Thats so true. Often, being in touch personally with a local client is the best way to compete against big hosting companies. In fact, they tend to trust you more and are more willing to choose you since they think they can get in contact easily with you and you can easily charge more to them.

Completely agree. If a customer is happy with your service, the higher the possibilities that they will recommend you to someone else. They will even promote your business by leaving reviews and of course word of mouth.

After that make sure you set a budget for advertising, or at least take the time to post your service on forums like this. Never spam! Your business will never grow like this!

It does work if used correctly. If a person who doesn't know what they are doing gets into it. They can wind up loosing a large sum of money without even realizing it.

mmm, I dont think its a good start. I'd say its a possible option for a well established host with money to back it up. Adwords is costly and even more when it comes to web hosting so you better know what you are doing!
