Best VPS Control Panels (Free & Paid)?

The trouble with cpanel and some of the others mentioned is you need one for every server

that's the same with all even windows unless you purchase a multi server licence

1 licence per server, but the below support multi server support

Free/Libre Control Panels

ISPConfig
Kloxo
Webmin
WebsitePanel

Proprietary Control Panels

No, some of the ones you mention require only a single purchase and the purchase of remote agents. You are talking licensing, I am talking architecture. cpanel does not offer centralized management, the windows panels you mention does. One of theme is even free!

Examples:

http://hostingcontroller.com/Hostin...osting-Automation/Overview-Hosting-Panel.html

http://www.parallels.com/products/plesk-automation/overview/ (see technical tab)

I've purchased, installed, and used all three.

read that link. i did not pluck that list from thin air. no matter what architecture a control panel has it needs to be licenced to run on a server, even the free ones are licenced to the servers IP.

some will only run on single servers, some offer partial multi server licences and some full multi licence support.

or is this just a case of you being right and everyone else being wrong yet AGAIN

ok, there is no difference between control panels since they all need some sort of a licensing. Architecture is irrelevant. So what if there is a single ui for multiple servers or one for each server. You win. You want to ignore the differences, or believe you know all of them and no one can teach you anything, that's your business. I am not going to fall for your context-switching and misquotes. :disagree:

where did i say their was no difference. it seems that if anyone reads your posts you are always telling others they are wrong and you are right

that link i gave shows all the differences and what each panel supports and not support.

cPanel/WHM for VPS costs less, $14.95/month

Yes cPanel VPs license sells are around $15 on average. The $35 + price licenses is to be used on physical servers. I'd add Froxlor panel to the list.

I don't use Linux so have never played with cpanel. I went to the site to check out their vps version and have a question: Why don't they provide the same optimization in the dedicated version? I see that both have the same features, but is something lost in the optimization? Performance, etc?

I haven't tried many different control panels for VPS because cPanel has always been enough for me. If you are looking for a free panel then I would suggest Webmin.

I have only tried cPanel and Directadmin as paid panels. I have tried Webmin and Kloxo as free and for me personally i just could not get with Webmin and prefer Kloxo, but then everyone has their own views

I offered detailed explanation with links. I don't know what problem you have with this except to smear another host in public and show sig at same time. I prefer acquiring clients the old fashioned way. But if this method works for you, more power to you! Its just not my style

I am not the one who produced that list and as you are someone who has stated on this forum that YOU HAVE NEVER used cPanel then how do you know how it works.

I am not the one who produced that list, Now i suggest you stop coming on these forums and calling everyone liars and that they are wrong.

I haven't seen an instance when someone forced their opinion down another person's throat. If one doesn't agree with an opinion of another, that's just that - a difference of opinion. Accept that and move on.
