Real angry, I just bought a VPS from a provider. (Well few days back)

I got my IP's changed, and then I tried to login to the client area today, and it says email does not exist.
Ok so lets reset it, oh email is not on the system?
What!!

So I tried the server, both new and old IP's, SSH wont work, server not alive.

So I of course sent a paypal reversal, I wasnt playing games.
Then they reply to paypal... Digital item, looks like he wasnt happy?

I posted about the problems and they removed my logins, deleted account..

I dunno why they do it, why steal clients money? I even then openned a ticket and asked them as to why this is the case, and of course I am immature and lala, no appology, no reason to why they stole my cash with no service, just a bye bye, because I said bye to them.

So now, I am angry to hell, and really don't understand why they would do it, frankly, its a joke, seen some more reviews about them, seems they are not amazing.
 
I am sorry to hear about your bad luck, there is a plethora of hosting providers on here with quality services. I would recommend you ask some questions and make sure THEY own the equipment, and not a reseller.

Speak like what? Read what I am saying and quit getting angry about it. Contact us before filing a dispute. It's not that hard to understand.

A Spammer took down the server. Nothing more. You would of seen your refund if you didn't file a dispute.

It doesn't matter to me if you post anyways. I don't make any money from this. I lose more than I make.

Fair enough £4 right, but the fact he just said that, and the fact they just removed my account and server for no reason, what the hell..

This industry needs regulations, beyond a joke, how do people like this get anywere, fumin, just fumin.

I normally do background checks etc, however only wanted it for a personal test, nothing important, just that is a joke lol

I know how he feels, but no need to do that to a potential payer and current client.

No matter how nasty they are to you, you have to remain professional.


I felt that way today, I didnt tell my clients that, seriously, can't even believe I just saw that.

While my post may not be on the subject of this thread, I'd still like to add my $0.02.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with renting equipment from a dedicated server provider.
The costs may be higher when renting for the long term, but it has its advantages.

One of those advantages is if any hardware component of the dedicated server should stop working, the provider will replace it.
Many providers usually back hardware replacement with an SLA.

While that response is totally unwarranted, there is always two sides to every story. Something must have prompted emails like that. And if what he says is true, then he's right when he says that you should have contacted them for assistance prior to filing for a chargeback.

Still, I'm struggling to accept the fact that they actually sent these responses (not questioning your honesty) - it just seems so rediculous.
 
Yipes - the language used by this provider is NEVER acceptable, under any circumstances. You can't allow yourself to let emotions take over your professional interactions with prospects or clients. Michael is right that you can't please everyone, but there are certainly better ways to handle issues.

Personally, I think he presents himself as a 13 year old reseller...
 
Looking at the clear lack of professionalism shown here by your now late provider has left me wondering how and why such people believe they are cut out or able to offer hosting services or even services of any kind to a client.

Such behaviour is intolerable and within the UK certainly would be in violation of your consumer rights and various other legislation that springs to mind, however due to the nature of such providers or fly by night hosts it is almost impossible to put an end to them.

looking at things now however RSL seem to have been suspended themselves which would indicate and support the theory that they operate as a reseller and I would hazard to agree their mental age seems to be around that of 13 clearly as suggested by bitcable due to the manner in which they deem fit to operate.
 
I don't even care what happened, whether you were right, wrong, rude or simply annoying beyond belief, this kind of language means nothing more than a provider is run by a child.

That is under the assumption that this material was not fabricated, and I have no reason to believe that it was.

He appologized and said I would get my cash back, I said it is fine.

I was angry that he stole money, fair enough it was only for a personal thing but still, it is fraud I don't care about two sides, you just cannot do that.
Clearly things have got to him.

I cleared it up and told him to chill, but I am frankly shocked.

I was angry because I had someone defraud me of cash, asked why and got bye bye.

All sorted now, but really, cannot see the need for a provider to loose it so bad.

He said there were spammers on his server and they obviously did something, so all servers were turned off and the dc was not giving him a refund.
Don't know why it ended up like that from a client mad at them getting ripped off, if I did that, I would be broke.

Yea, I was hoping for something a little more interesting than that to justify his abrasive (and extremely offensive) messages. Just confirms that this guy is clearly inexperienced in this industry (and life). Somebody who speaks to ANYBODY like that has no place in a customer oriented business, nor any role that deals with people. Pathetic!

If nothing else, you got an interesting story out of it. Maybe it was worth the couple of bucks.:devil:

Interesting responses from "M Bacon" on the WHT forums too - definitely from the responses (public or private) they're a huge black mark on the face of the company. Hopefuly they can get over it and pull their big boy pants up and start conducting business professionally.

Internally our staff often get frustrated with spammers, hackers and fakes, however they're still individuals and are treated as such in tickets and other mediums. The only big issue that we have is in our chat system when someone swears at our staff. The person gets ONE warning, then the chat is terminated and the user is forced to use tickets. Neither side needs the abuse.
