Managed WordPress hosting provider Kinsta has secured the top position in the Best Web Hosting Software Products category in the 2026 Best Software Awards from G2. The ranking marks a sharp rise from eighth place last year and places the company ahead of 1,461 products evaluated in the category.
The annual awards rely on verified customer reviews and usage data drawn from more than 116,000 listed software vendors. As a result, rankings reflect direct user feedback rather than internal nominations or panel selections. G2 reports that more than 100 million buyers visit its marketplace each year to compare software solutions, which gives the awards weight among technology decision makers.
Kinsta’s climb to first place stands out because the web hosting category includes a broad range of providers, from cloud hosting platforms to content delivery networks and managed DNS services. Yet a WordPress focused hosting company captured the top ranking across the entire segment. That outcome signals how strongly user satisfaction can influence industry perception.
Chief Executive Officer Jon Penland said the recognition carries significance because it comes from developers, marketers and business owners who rely on the platform daily. He noted that consistent service delivery and customer support contributed to the results.
Beyond the category win, Kinsta also entered the top 100 on G2’s Best Global Software Companies list. According to G2 co founder and CEO Godard Abel, review driven credibility has become increasingly important as buyers turn to AI powered search tools to research software. In such a context, platforms showcase vendors who have shown the ability to create a positive impact on customers.
Kinsta has managed to support more than 230,000 customers across the globe and has also managed to add more than 65,000 new sites in the last year. The analysis of reviews across marketplaces has often cited responsiveness in support, performance improvement, and reliability as key factors.
The growing need for software buyers to seek validation from their peers has ensured that review platforms such as G2 remain a key factor in shaping the web hosting industry.
