More providers of virtual data center services are implementing native IPv6 technology. Its biggest selling point – it is capable of providing many more addresses than the “old” IPv4. With nearly all IPv4 addresses taken, IPv6 will soon become the forerunner in the fields of managing API and address ordering. IPv4 uses 32-bit addresses while IPv6 uses 128-bit, giving it vastly more routing and address allocation flexibility.
