The global lifecycle management IT company, ITRenew, is becoming the Open Compute Project Foundation’s new platinum member. The effort behind OCP (The Open Compute Project Foundation) is to create a community in which organizations collaborate on improving hardware technology through efforts related to server, network and data center deployments.

In a span of two decades, ITRenew has put a lot of efforts behind making the most out of data center technology solutions and used an extensive portfolio of storage solutions, component and edge products, and data security services. The business and engineering teams of the firm have taken part in countless OCP groups for years, working as members of the community on projects related to storage, servers, networking and open systems firmware.

As a new platinum member, ITRenew will take the chance to identify new opportunities, advance new ideas, collaborate with other companies, and, in general, play a larger role in advancing its own agenda.

According to the President of ITRenew, Ali Fenn, the efforts of the OCP foundation and the work behind the Open Compute concept have never been of greater importance than they are today. He also added that the company is proud in the way in which it manages and deploys IT hardware globally, as well as in how it manages collaboration with other companies, providers of IT technologies and services and hyperscalers to make the most out of open systems potential.

OCP has been rapidly growing ever since 2011, the year it was founded. The mission of its global community remains to create and efficiently deliver hardware technology to address the high demand for compute infrastructure.

As the CTO of the OCP Foundation, Bill Carter, remarked, ITRenew have become a Platinum member because of their active participation and support for the Open Compute Project.
