C7 Data Centers has announced the signing of a multi-year deal that will see it host the data of Answers Corporation, the company behind the popular reference sites Answers.com, WikiAnswers and ReferenceAnswers.
C7’s latest business client will utilize its new data center space as a production site for all of its service in the western United States and the Asia-Pacific region, according to the host’s press release. Dan Marriott, production operations director for the Answers Corporation, detailed his decision-making process while selecting C7 Data Centers, calling it “straight forward” and expressing great faith in everything from C7’s physical location to its support services.
Well-known for its vigorous growth, C7 currently runs four data centers totaling more than 40,000 square feet and is actively pursuing opportunities to expand their holdings through planned acquisitions and, potentially, new facilities. With an already well-stocked stable of premier clients like Concierge Communications and managed services provider DirectPointe, the great show of faith from Answers sets a tone for C7 that they can carry forward in their plans for further reach.

Only recently known as C7 Data Centers, the company was originally run under the moniker Center 7 under a rebranding of their holdings followed its acquisition of services provider Tier Four last year, a move that saw C7’s success go over the top in fields like managed hosting, business continuance and general network business solutions.
