QuantumGenie lands on five major cloud marketplaces

QuantumGenie‘s real announcement this week isn’t about products. It’s about procurement. The post-quantum cryptography platform confirmed it now sits on five marketplaces at once: Microsoft, AWS, Google Cloud, Visual Studio Code, and Splunkbase. On the surface, that reads like distribution news. Underneath it, the move solves a problem that has quietly slowed post-quantum adoption at the enterprise level: getting a new security vendor approved in the first place.

Large organizations don’t buy cybersecurity tools the way individuals buy software. Every new vendor typically means a separate contract, a fresh onboarding process, and a new payment relationship, steps that can stretch procurement timelines for months. By listing across marketplaces enterprises already use for billing and vendor management, QuantumGenie skips that bottleneck. Buyers can evaluate and purchase the platform through channels they already trust, no new account needed.

Timing plays a role, too. NIST finalized its first post-quantum cryptography standards in 2024. The NSA’s CNSA 2.0 suite and France’s ANSSI have both set migration deadlines, and U.S. federal agencies now operate under Executive Order 14412, which pushes for stronger national cybersecurity practices.

Meanwhile, security teams face a threat that doesn’t wait for quantum computers to exist: data encrypted today can be captured now and decrypted later once quantum computing catches up, a risk the industry calls “harvest now, decrypt later.”

Each marketplace listing targets a different workflow. On Microsoft’s marketplace, the product appears as CipherScan for Azure-heavy enterprises. AWS lists it as a post-quantum cryptography and CBOM tool. Google Cloud‘s listing went live after the company completed its technical integration and review process. The VS Code listing puts cryptographic discovery directly in front of developers while they code, and the Splunk add-on feeds findings straight into security teams’ existing SIEM dashboards.

QuantumGenie also picked up Associate Tier status in Splunk’s Partnerverse program and joined the PKI Consortium, both signs it’s building relationships beyond a simple marketplace listing.

Quantum-safe migration is still coming, whether or not the hardware to break current encryption exists yet. For enterprise teams, that’s the part worth paying attention to, not the marketplace logos.
